SaaS Accelerator has assembled a team of with deep expertise in the design and delivery
of mission critical business solutions from market leading companies such as MicroSoft,
IBM, Oracle, GoDaddy and Broadvision. Individually, our leadership team found themselves
focusing on the next wave of technology adoption leveraging on-demand SaaS capabilities
prior to joining together to more formally address the market demand for these solutions
under a unified vision to free business innovation from technology limitations and
accelerating the market adoption of on-demand business capabilities.
Arthur Lawida :: Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Lawida is the founder and CEO of SaaS Accelerator. His career has spanned twenty
years and several technology waves. From the first company he founded in 1989, Mr.
Lawida has been focused on a single concept. Freeing business innovation.
Mr. Lawida has developed software businesses within both private and public companies.
For the past ten years, Mr. Lawida's primary focus has been building and managing
organizations that have delivered some of the largest ecommerce sites in the world.
At Vcommerce, BroadVision and Oracle, Mr. Lawida built regional, national, and international
ecommerce delivery organizations that supported the successful delivery of complex,
multi-channel ecommerce solutions for BJ’s Wholesale, Venue, DeepDiscount, TransWorld
Entertainment, Walmart, Toshiba, Tosco, Epson, Egghead.com, Bertelsmann and many
others.
Mr. Lawida's expertise is in building delivery organizations within software companies
that leverage partner networks to expand the market for the underlying software.
At Vcommerce, Mr Lawida led a group of over 65 professionals that designed, deployed
and operated several of the world’s largest eCommerce sites on as an On-Demand/SaaS
solution. At Broadvision, Mr. Lawida established and expanded delivery organizations
in the Western and Latin American regions. Under his leadership, these organizations
allowed BroadVision to sell over $20 million in software licenses, $12 million in
consulting services and $40 million in associated partner services within the first
18 months of operation. At Oracle, Mr. Lawida's practice within AdvancedTechnology
Solutions was a key contributor in moving Oracle Consulting from a primarily CRM/ERP
focus into internet technologies. His team delivered the first ecommerce applications
on the initial versions of Oracle's Internet Commerce Server and then developed
the standard delivery framework for both Ecommerce and Knowledge Management for
the entire worldwide Oracle Consulting organization.
Lawida served as Chairman and CEO of Active Recognition Technologies, Inc., a software
company focused on video analytics applications serving the Homeland Security marketplace.
During his tenure, Active Recognition grew into the leader in license plate recognition
systems within the gaming industry. Active Recognition Technology was acquired by
InPlay Technologies in 2005. Earlier in his career, Mr. Lawida was the CEO of Tandem
Solutions, Inc., a software provider to the legal industry.
Mr. Lawida is a recognized expert on internet development methodologies and organizational
systems and has presented at several international conferences. He currently serves
on the board of Similarity, Inc., a privately held software company focusing on
community based content sharing networks.
Among his education and training credentials, Mr. Lawida holds a B.A. in Political
Science from Duke University.
